A Quick Look at 2023
While we can barely believe it, it’s been nearly a year since we sat in a crowded Las Vegas event hall with over 40,000 other leaders across the renewable energy space, all driven to push clean energy forward.
2023 saw a ton of enthusiasm thanks to the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and all of the money that it allotted to the clean energy space. From new trends in storage to a deep focus on solar O&M tools and techniques, we learned a lot and saw just how much software can help bring us towards a more sustainable future.
What We Look Forward to in 2024
We are now just a week away from RE+ 2024 in beautiful Anaheim, CA. Here’s what we are looking forward to seeing more of.
- A Renewed Purpose
- A year may have passed, but the entire industry has been deep in the trenches, pushing out new infrastructure and implementing better technologies and strategies to increase clean energy resources in the US and across the globe. Nevertheless, we often forget the why behind all this work and who it really impacts. This year, we’re excited to reinvigorate that drive, with more conversations around how we can all ensure that the communities we live in have access to clean, safe, and resilient energy resources.
- A Deeper Focus on Utilities and the Grid
- No energy conversation is complete without talking about the Grid and the primary folks who keep it running: Utilities. This year, we look forward to more conversations about balancing grid modernization initiatives, resiliency, and the ever-growing interconnection queue.
- A Critical Look at the Full Clean Energy Landscape
- Clean energy isn’t just about Solar. Nor is it just about storage, or EV charging, or microgrids, or hydrogen, or whatever other technology is out there making headlines. It’s about them all. We’re excited to hear more about how these different avenues to cleaner energy can work together and what we can learn from each other so we all succeed in our drive to provide cleaner power to our communities.
- A Concentrated Drive Towards Better Workforce Development and Training Initiatives
- As the clean energy sector continues to expand, the demand for a skilled workforce is growing. At RE+ 2024, we expect to see a continued emphasis on workforce development programs, training initiatives, and educational partnerships designed to equip the next generation of clean energy professionals with the skills they need to succeed. Sitetracker is committed to supporting these efforts by providing tools that make it easier for teams to onboard, train, and operate at peak efficiency in this rapidly evolving industry.
- A Greater Lens on AI and Data Analytics
- The role of AI and data analytics in optimizing renewable energy projects is likely to take center stage at RE+ 2024. From predictive maintenance in solar farms to AI-driven grid management, we anticipate more discussions on how advanced technologies can streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency across the clean energy spectrum. Our team is looking forward to sharing more about Sitetracker’s own investments and initiatives around AI as we strive to make these new technologies a real problem-solver for our customers’ toughest challenges.
- A Commitment to Better Tools and Strategies
- The entire industry is trying to move faster. Power needs are only growing and climate change isn’t necessarily getting any better. We need clean energy now. To do that, we need better tools and strategies to deploy faster, maintain more, and scale our efforts everywhere. Our team is most excited to talk more about how Sitetracker and other great software can support leaders through this challenge and give them the tools they need to get the job done.
Sitetracker is proud to serve a global community with almost 400 team members worldwide and over 300 diverse customers, including industry leaders like Cypress Creek Renewables, Jupiter Power, Hecate, Linea, Iberdrola, BayWa re, Prosolia, Flower, Ravenvolt, and Posigen among many others.
We are so excited for another opportunity to connect face-to-face with our customers and engage in countless, meaningful conversations.
